Dijon Stanley, a senior at Granada Hills Charter High in California, won the boys 400-meter title in 45.77 seconds at the CIF State Championships at Buchanan High's Veterans Memorial Stadium in Clovis. Stanley also contributed to the Highlanders winning the 4x100-meter relay in 40.39 seconds, in addition to finishing second in the 200-meter final in a wind-legal 20.95 seconds and anchoring Granada Hills placing third in the 4x400-meter relay in 3:15.14, punctuating the first boys state team title in program history with 36 points. Granada Hills became the first L.A. City Section boys team since Dorsey in 2005 to capture the championship.
